Our Foam filling service eliminates the risk of punctures and greatly reduces your down time!

Tyre Foam filling is an advanced way of puncture proofing your tyres, it allows you to combine the best qualities of a pneumatic tyre, with the puncture proofing and stability of solid tyres. It is supported on almost all sizes of tyre, from your biggest earth movers to your smallest lawn mowers, and is the most reliable and effective tyre flat proofing solution available today, eliminating flat tyres, improving performance, and increasing safety even in the most hazardous conditions.

Types of Foam Fill

Nature fill

Nature foam fill recycles oil-based tyre fill to keep millions of pounds of used fill out of landfills each year. The environmentally responsible choice!

Pure Fill

Pure foam fill uses brand new pure virgin fill (liquid) which maximises traction, comfort and tread life, resulting in increased value. The premium choice for all tyre sizes!

Basic Fill

Basic fill is the lightweight, superior tyre protection option when your equipment is exposed to harsh conditions. Suitable for puncture prevention only – when a puncture occurs basic fill seals it instantly.

How does it work?

Your tyres would first of all make it to one of our foam fill depots, with the closest depot being chosen relative to your location, we can either collect and deliver back to yourself, or you can drop the tyres and wheels off at one of our depots and collect them once they are completed.

The tyres will then be filled with specially designed fluids that are then cured to become solid. The tyres are filled to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure which will be retained for their entire service life, eliminating the need to check and maintain air pressure. We can supply you with the complete foam filled tyre package, including new wheels and tyres if needed, or we can arrange to collect your existing tyres and wheel rims and just foam-fill them (note they must hold air). We recommend buying and using new tyres to ensure you get the maximum wearable tread on your newly foam filled units.

The process of foam filling tyres involves pumping two separate special liquid compounds into the tyre cavity, which then combine and through a chemical reaction cure over a 24 hour period to become a solid foam/resin like material. The process involves specialist equipment and strict health and safety measures must be adhered to. The video below gives you a walk through example of how the process of foam filling typically works.

Frequently Asked Questions

In general it’s construction plant, agricultural plant, dumpers, loaders, excavators, golf carts, mowing equipment, MEWP’s, rough-terrain forklifts, sweepers, skid steers, telehandlers, and tractors. Vehicles that travel at high speeds are avoided and cannot be foam filled, as the heat build up at fast speeds can break down the foam filling material. Therefore, foam filling is not suitable for high speed trailers or cars.

This ultimately depends on the size of the tyre being foam filled, as it equals to the amount of liquid fill that is needed to fill your tyre. Please give us your tyre size and we will quote based on the volume of liquid needed for that specific tyre size. For collection and delivery, we use pallet delivery companies who often charge around £40 per pallet per way.

Unfortunately not, The machinery used to foam fill the tyres are not mobile, and health and safety issues ensure the process must be completed in a controlled environment. Foam filling usually takes approximately 4-5 working days, with the tyres and wheels being at the depot for that time. If you are on tight time scales please speak with us as occasionally the work shop has a few orders booked in so we would schedule your work with you accordingly.

You can, but they must be able to hold air, sadly we cannot work with punctured tyres as the liquid fill will escape before it is cured. In general, we recommend buying and using new tyres to ensure you get the maximum wearable tread on your newly foam filled units, and to maximise your investments in tyre foam filling.

Yes. They are filled with a cured liquid so if you imagined filling your tyre with water say instead of air, the weight of the water in that case would be the additional weight added.

Usually our customers sort this themselves, but we can arrange our mobile fitters to come to your site and remove your units for a fee. The fitters however don’t have blocks available to keep the machine jacked up for the 4-5 days needed for filling, so you will need to provide the blocks/jacks yourself, or have a spare set of wheels ready to swap to the machine.

No. Foam filling does not change the tyres load carrying capacity.

Routine tyre pressure inspections are no longer necessary as the foam filling compound fills the tyre to the recommended pressure or a pressure that you specify, which remains constant for its entire life span.

The machine will likely be more stable due to the added weight of the foam filling material, but this does depend on the machine itself. If you are in any doubt it is worth speaking to your manufacturer or a specific dealer to find out the machines suitability for foam filled tyres.

You can, we can collect your currently foam filled units and cut off the current tyre and foam from the wheel rim. We can then fit new tyres and foam fill them as normal. There is extra costs however to cut off the existing filled tyres, and the disposal fee for the scrap material.
